Destroy The Weirs
This section is focused on our campaign to destroy the weirs of the Dodder river that make our section's aquatic life like a hot pond
A Terrible Trout Tale
The sun. It was burning its lidless eyes. The water flowed sluggishly in the summer heat. It's dark scales were blistering. It's strong but wispy fins were frying. Why was it here? It was too warm to have spawn or eggs. It was too warm to mate. It was too warm to breath, the air, missing, gills flapping uselessly. Why was there impassable stone walls? Why was the water so hot? The food, it was also struggling. Where was the cool? It should be cool. It should be natural. But it was stuck here. Swimming. Eating. Being cooked alive. Why was it tortured? What did it do? It was too hot, too bright, too stuffy.
It was deadly.
----------------
The river Dodder is home to many fish like this trout, and insects such as mayflies, but it is no longer safe. The weirs have trapped these creatures in a steadily heating death trap, and they are being fed into it for fishing. They cannot live like this.
Stop their suffering. Destroy the weirs.
